Dr. KARTHIPREM S, M.E., Ph.D., has been the Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shree Sathyam College since 2018. He received his B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Erode Sengunthar Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu in 2002 and subsequently received his M.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Kongu Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu in 2004. He completed his doctoral degree in Information and communication engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2016. His research area was Digital Image Processing and his research title was “Effective Identification and Classification of Moving objects on Indian Roads using Image Processing”. His area of Interests includes Digital Image Processing, Database Management Systems, Remote sensing and GIS and Intellectual Property Rights.
He has over 18 years of teaching experience from various Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore.He has trained numerous students for placement in basic programming like C, C++ and DBMS. He is an Oracle Certified trainer for SQL/PLSQL from 2010. He has conducted and coordinated around 5 International Conferences. He is a Member of CSI, ISTE, IACSIT and IET.
He has published eight research papers in International Journals and more than 15 papers in International and National Conferences conducted throughout India. He has published a book “Fundamentals of Computers and Computer Programming” for Anna University syllabus published by RKR publishers Coimbatore. He has been an Oracle Certified Trainer for DBMS, SPOC for Infosys campus connect for 2 years, certified cyber security workshop trainer by IIT Bombay during 2014, received prize for developing application projects for dictionary using data warehouse schemas at MANIT Bhopal, has been awarded “Teaching Excellence” for best departmental performance during academic year 2014-15 by Staffordshire University, UK and education matters India.
He was awarded Certificate ‘A’by the Authority of the Ministry of Defense, Government of India during 1995. He has also trained the Forest officers at the Central Academy for State Forest service (CASFOS) Coimbatore in basic computer concepts funded by the Ministry of Environment and Forests during 2008, 2009 and 2010.
