Role of the Committee

  • The Internal Complaints Committee has a critical role in the prevention, prohibition, and redress of sexual harassment at workplace.
  • To create awareness among all students regarding social issues.
  • To prohibit the unwelcome behavior that constitutes workplace sexual harassment or acts amounting to sexual harassment of any employee.
  • To ensure that all individuals are treated with equal respect and that no discriminatory treatment is given to anyone.

Objective

The primary objective of the Research & Development (R&D) Cell is to promote a vibrant research ecosystem by strengthening the institutional capacity for high-quality research, innovation, consultancy, and knowledge generation in accordance with the UGC Guidelines (March 2022). The Cell aims to create an enabling environment that nurtures research culture among faculty and students, facilitates interdisciplinary and translational research, encourages collaborations with industry and research organizations, and enhances the institution’s contribution to national and global research priorities. It also focuses on establishing mechanisms for policy formulation, funding acquisition, intellectual property management, and ethical compliance, thereby ensuring sustained research excellence and societal impact.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

Planning & Policy Development

  • Prepare institutional Research Policy in line with UGC norms.
  • Identify priority research areas and thrust domains for the institution.
  • Formulate annual research plan with goals, targets, and KPIs.

Promotion of Research Activities

  • Conduct research orientation programmes, workshops, and FDPs.
  • Facilitate proposal writing sessions for external funded projects.
  • Support publication in peer-reviewed, indexed, and high-impact journals.
  • Encourage patent filing, IPR awareness, and innovation activities.

Research Support & Facilitation

  • Provide guidance for submission of research proposals to funding agencies (UGC, DST, DBT, AICTE, MSME, DRDO, ICSSR, etc.).
  • Facilitate industry collaborations, consultancy projects, and MoUs.
  • Ensure availability of research infrastructure, labs, and instrumentation.
  • Provide assistance for ethics approvals, plagiarism checks, and compliance requirements.

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Track progress of ongoing research projects, grants, and publications.
  • Review research activities through periodic meetings and reports.
  • Maintain digital database of research outputs and achievements.

Financial Management

  • Prepare research budget and monitor utilization of project funds.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in research expenditure.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of proposals, funded projects, publications, patents, and consultancy.
  • Publish Annual Research Report for submission to IQAC and Governing Body.

Review & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct annual review of R&D Cell performance.
  • Revise policies, objectives, and strategies based on outcomes and UGC updates.
