Dr C Sivakandhan received his Ph.D degree in Polymer matrix Composite materials from the Karpagam University; Coimbatore in 2016. He is 30 years vast experiences in the field of teaching and industry. At present, he is Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Shree Sathyam College of Engineering and Technology His area of interest is Thermodynamics, Combustion, Power Plant, Thermal Engineering, Energy and composite materials in automobile applications. He is also actively involved in technology assessments and policy studies related to automobile   engineering, fuel utilization and air pollution. He has presented and published over 30 papers on his research in national/international technical conferences and journals. Five research scholars are doing their research programme under his guidance.

        He is a member of the Indian Society of Technical Education, Fellow member in Institute of Engineers (India), Senior Professional Member of the Institute for Engineering Research and Publication, Member in IAENG International Association of Engineers, Senior Member in the Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors, He is a member of editorial board of the various International peer reviewed journals.

            He has received ISTE- Periyar Award for Best Engineering College Teacher 2021 from Indian Society For Technical Education (ISTE), Tamil Nadu Section. Also received Best paper award in the conference conducted by VIT Bhopal University, Bhop.
